OKCN Certication Process

At Oklahoma Clone Nursery, to ensure our customers get the correct strain, we go a step further.

Seeds from the same strain may have different phenotypes, therefore, we take a cut from each mother plant and raise them through the flowering stage and record the final outcome to ensure we provide our customers with the desired clones. Once this process is completed, the mother plant and her clones will be OKCN Certified, and a summarized description of the final product will be provided for customers to review and select from.

What are phenotypes?

Phenotype is the way an organism physically expresses its observable traits via its genetic makeup. Typical phenotypical traits for cannabis include terpene and cannabinoid profile, height, bud density, leaf shape, color, and aroma, etc. Because not all DNA in the genomes influences the development of the organisms, therefore, different phenotypes are sometimes seen from the seeds harvested from the same mother plant. Phenotypes are also influenced by the plant’s surrounding environment, such as temperature, humidity, lighting, and airflow.
